The Game of Life: Financial Literacy

Dive into "Game of Life: Financial Literacy" an immersive and practical class designed to prepare teens and tweens for the financial realities of adulthood. Through fun game-like simulations and engaging activities, students will navigate ever-changing real-life scenarios such as marriage, divorce, having kids, job loss, unexpected expenses, and the impact these real-life scenarios can have on their budget. They'll learn the fundamentals of budgeting, saving, and managing debt, all while making informed decisions in a dynamic and unpredictable financial landscape. By the end of the course, teens will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to handle financial challenges confidently and build a secure financial future.

Teens & Tweens Ages 10+

Wednesdays

9/11, 9/18, 9/25, 10/2, 10/9, 10/16, 10/23,

10/30 (Halloween Party), 11/6, 11/13

11:00AM - 11:45AM (stay for lunch 11:45AM - 12:45PM)

Materials Needed:

  • Pencil
  • Folder
  • Calculator(cell phone app is fine)

Our Expectations for Parents:

  • Parents may have to sit with and assist their child with basic budget calculations every class.
  • Parents must stay at the park for the duration of the class.
  • Parents are responsible for both their own and their child(rens) behavior and safety at all times.
